Displaying Flags in Downtown Red Wing during  Holidays:  Several years ago, budget constraints caused the  City of Red Wing to consider discontinuing the practice of flying the American  flag during holidays in the city of Red Wing.  Red Wing Lodge # 845 and its  members adopted this project as one of its Veterans and Community support  projects.  Ranging from sub-zero days in February to celebrate President's Day
to the summer heat at the Fourth of July, Elk members and spouses are proud to  fly nearly 150 flags throughout the downtown area of our community to celebrate  these events.

If you'd like to volunteer to  help, it takes 6-9 people about a half hour to complete the routes.  Check our  newsletter or calendar to find out when they go up next.

Highway Cleanup: Twice a year, Red Wing Lodge members take to the ditches along Highway 58.

The morning begins with a potluck breakfast before the volunteers get organized and head out to pick up whatever trash has accumlated since the last time they cleaned.
